The Hatfield-McCoy Trail System
600+ Miles of Trail
The Hatfield-McCoy Trail System is West Virginia's signature off-road destination, named after the legendary feud families whose rugged mountain territory now hosts some of the most spectacular ATV riding in the country. Trails span multiple counties through steep hollows, ridge lines, creek beds, and open meadows.
Buffalo Trail sits just 5 miles from the Pocahontas Trailhead — one of the most popular entry points into the entire system. You can also access the trails via State Route 71N, an ATV-friendly road directly from the resort.
