Eagle ATV is Buffalo Trail's trusted rental partner for SXS and ATV adventures — and they operate a facility right here on the property, so advance reservations can be picked up without ever leaving the resort. Last-minute rentals may require a short trip to their main location in Rock, WV, but either way they handle the machines so you can focus on the ride.

A valid Hatfield-McCoy Trail permit is required for every rider. Eagle ATV can issue permits on-site — no separate trip to town needed.
Annual permit for West Virginia residents. Best value for regular riders planning multiple trips.
Annual permit for active duty, reserve, and veteran military personnel. Thank you for your service.
Annual permit for out-of-state visitors. Covers all Hatfield-McCoy trail systems for a full calendar year.
Just visiting once? Daily permits are available. Ask Eagle ATV staff at the counter when you pick up your rental.
Permits issued on-site at Eagle ATV. When you book your rental, simply request a trail permit at pickup — the Eagle ATV team will sort you out in minutes. Permits are also available at Buffalo Trail Resort during check-in. The Hatfield-McCoy trail system requires a permit for every rider on every vehicle.

Before You Ride
Eagle ATV takes safety seriously. Review these requirements before booking — questions welcome at (304) 460-8687.
Operators must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license. Passengers must be at least 6 years old. No exceptions.
A valid government-issued driver's license is required at time of rental pickup.
DOT-approved helmets are included with every rental. Helmet use is mandatory on all trails.
All renters complete a mandatory safety briefing before departing. Takes about 15 minutes.
Long-sleeved shirt and over-the-ankle boots are strongly recommended for all riders.
Rentals are for use on Hatfield-McCoy trail systems only. Off-trail riding is prohibited.
