About Buffalo Trail
Buffalo Trail Cabins & Restaurant has been designed to meet the needs of ATV riders and their families! Buffalo Trail offers a peaceful wooded setting but is conveniently located on Route 71 (Lorton Lick Road) within a minute of Route 52 and only 3.5 miles for the Pocahontas Trailhead of the Hatfield/Mccoy Trail System.
We are located about 10 miles from WV exit #1 off of I-77. After taking the exit, follow the signs for 52-N thru the town of Bluefield and into Bluewell. You will turn right at the 2nd red light in Bluewell onto state route 71. After turning, we are located 1/5 of a mile on the right. Our GPS coordinates are 37.319219, -81.261731. The best address to use for GPS is 190 Buffalo Trail, Bluewell WV 24701.
Buffalo Trail has cabins, cottages, and ultimate tree-houses that provide all the comforts of home. Cottages and cabins include free Wi-Fi, linens, and housekeeping service at checkout or 1 time per week for extended stays. Some of our adjoining cabins and cottages can be rented as a group so you can have enough room for you, your family and extended family!
We also have full hook-up RV sites with 60 x 10 concrete pad for parking, 60 x12 grass area, 50 amp electrical RV outlet, water hookup, sewer hookup, 115-v convenience outlet and Free Wi-Fi. Rustic Tree-house camping spots are also available. RV Sites and Rustic Tree-houses have 24/7 access to our bathhouse.
The Pocahontas Hatfield McCoy Trail system is accessible directly from Buffalo Trail via ATV/UTV friendly roads. Please refer to the West Virginia state laws to learn about the requirements for riding your ATV on public roads.
