About Buffalo Trail

Buffalo Trail Cabins & Restaurant has been designed to meet the needs of ATV riders and their families! Buffalo Trail offers a peaceful wooded setting but is conveniently located within a minute of Route 52 and only 3.5 miles for the Pocahontas Trailhead of the Hatfield/Mccoy Trail System.

Buffalo Trail has cabins, cottages, and ultimate tree-houses that provide all the comforts of home.  It doesn’t matter if you need a cabin for 2 people or 22 people, Buffalo Trail has a cabin or cottage for you!

We also have full hook-up RV sites and Rustic Tree-house camping spots. RV Sites and Rustic Tree-houses have 24/7 access to our bathhouse.

The Pocahontas Hatfield McCoy Trail system is accessible directly from Buffalo Trail via ATV/UTV friendly roads. Please refer to the West Virginia state laws to learn about the requirements for riding your ATV on public roads.

Lodging

Buffalo Trail has cabins, cottages, and ultimate tree-houses that provide all the comforts of home. We have full hook-up RV sites  and Rustic Tree-house camping spots are also available. RV Sites and Rustic Tree-houses have 24/7 access to our bathhouse.

Restaurant

Variety of choices including bison burgers, steaks, and pizza. Open Thursday– Saturday 4pm to 10pm. Full Bar on site with over 30 beers on tap.

We also offer catering options along with venue rental.  Weddings, reunions, business meetings, bridal/baby showers, and parties you will never forget.

ATV Trails

The Hatfield-McCoy Trails is made up of over 600+ miles of trails and located in the rich mountains of southern West Virginia. As one of the largest off-highway vehicle trail systems in the world, Hatfield-McCoy Trails is open 365 days a year and offers something for every skill level.

Buffalo Trail is amazing!! The cabin was comfortable, affordable and perfect for my family….adults and kids had their own bath rooms and televisions…plus free Wi-Fi!! At the restaurant we were able to relax by the waterfall and enjoy a delicious meal! We are already planning our return trip.

This was our first trip to the Hatfield & McCoy Trails and we just had a great time and loved the convenience of your cabins with its great amenities. Plus the fact we did not have to cook and that you had a restaurant located on site, which our service was great and so was your food. We hope to come back in the fall.

My family and I frequently “dine in and carry out” at the restaurant. The food is amazing every time. The owners are very pleasant and truly good people. I want to thank you for bringing a touch of class to Bluewell. You place is beautiful and the food is wonderful. The new welcome center is very thoughtful and has also brightened up our small town.

The atmosphere is amazing! Beautiful building with awesome landscaping. The food was slightly disappointing because the elegance of the building creates a high expectation. In fairness, we sampled the buffet on Sunday and did not order from the menu. The menu might be better quality food.

The place is beautiful. The food is amazing, my family loved the Mac and cheese. You can taste the quality of the food……no place even close to this in Bluewell area.
